5/5 would definitely stay again :). I stayed here with a group of friends for two nights for a relaxing retreat and all I can say from when we first walked in was “wow wow wow”. The house was massive but cosy and very well appointed with beautiful furniture and all the gadgets you need in the kitchen. The view from the garden and the entrance hall was breath taking. The rose gardens were beautiful to walk through and the big infinity pool was heated. The hosts were also lovely and offered tips about things to see and do nearby.

La Riva House. This breathtaking homestead on 7 acres, with magnificent views from every room. From the moment you enter the driveway you are drawn in by the gorgeous canopy of English and natives trees, manicured lawns and glorious garden. Then you arrive up the sweeping driveway to the opulent sandstone house. Inside is an array of stunning bedrooms and lovely sitting areas, where you can read a book or play chess or just admire the views to the Mitchell River. Hosts Andrea and Dave are exceptional people who welcome you with open arms and are truly the most hospitable people you could ever meet. So much to do, long walks, helicopter ride in Dave’s own helicopter taking in the breathtaking view above swim in the gorgeous infinity pool eat out or in with your own personal chief or just relax. Thoroughly recommend a stay at this incredible property

La Riva was breathtaking I spent four nights over Christmas with my family and it was by far the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many all over the world. Although a little on the pricey side it was worth every penny. I honestly can’t say enough about this place, every detail is well thought out and beautifully appointed. Where do I start! We had the most wonderful 10 days staying at La Riva to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday with the whole family. The house is stunning with lots of room for everybody to have their own space. The beds and even the pull out couches are so comfortable. The kitchen has every appliance you can think of. The gardens and the setting with the beautiful views are magnificent and we did a lot of wandering around exploring without even leaving the grounds! The back of the property has a great walk along the river. The pool is to die for and even on cooler days, the water temp was great. Really close to Paynesville, Bairnsdale and Lake Entrance but you feel you are worlds away from civilisation. Last but not least, Andrea was the most incredible host and could not do enough for us. Nothing was too much to ask and she went above and beyond to make us feel so comfortable and meet our every need. Her husband even took us on an amazing helicopter ride (their other business). This property is perfect for a special family holiday/celebration, corporate getaway or retreat or just getting a large group of friends together. Definately would return for another special occasion!

It's superb!!!! Andrea is the most beautiful host, very friendly, helpful and welcoming! The place was immaculate!!! Very clean, a friendly touch with welcome chococlates, bread, fruit bread and very nice butter! Flowers from the garden throughout the house! Beds and linen luxurious! We had the best sleeps! The kitchen was more than well equipped! Wish I had a kitchen like Andrea's at home!I have never stayed in a more beautiful and luxurious place! I hope, I will be able to return one day, it's just a shame it's such a long way from Sydney. I can only recommend staying there!

Fantastic location great ammenities and the most fantastic hosts. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly. Great for a weekend escape sleeping up to 10 people in the most comfortable rooms.
