Amazing property with breathtaking views. Huge pool, beautiful gardens and enough space, bedrooms, bathrooms and activities for everyone. We had a wonderful week away at LaRiva!

What an experience! La Riva is an amazing property hidden in East Gippsland. Stunning gardens , amazing resort and hosts are more than accommodating. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away for an amazing experience.

This Incredible property set on an idyllic hillside location overlooking Jones Bay. Flowers, fruit trees and manicured gardens, surround the property providing a stunning setting to the expansive, yet private space. A large infinity pool is a key feature of the property; the heated water reflects the silhouette of the surrounding trees, which frame the view of the inlet and rolling hills that lie beyond. Moving back inside, the house itself is architecturally stunning and beautifully well appointed. The numerous bedrooms, sitting and dining areas are comfortable and tastefully furnished. Apple-play connected Bose speakers fill the rooms with music, and aroma of a well-cooked meal is never far away, with a fully equipped centrally located kitchen enticing any would be chef. Our hosts were courteous and respectful, paying attention to all the small details and ensuring our stay was as relaxed and enjoyable as we could wish for. Our only disappointment was booking too short a stay. We look forward to our next visit, for the little the slice of paradise that La Riva has to offer.

5/5 would definitely stay again :). I stayed here with a group of friends for two nights for a relaxing retreat and all I can say from when we first walked in was “wow wow wow”. The house was massive but cosy and very well appointed with beautiful furniture and all the gadgets you need in the kitchen. The view from the garden and the entrance hall was breath taking. The rose gardens were beautiful to walk through and the big infinity pool was heated. The hosts were also lovely and offered tips about things to see and do nearby.

Highly recommend. We had a beautiful stay at La Riva, the hosts were very accommodating and amazing customer service 😊 would highly recommend to anyone wanting a getaway from the city to the beautiful location!

Stunning and relaxing at the same time. We celebrated a significant birthday for my wife with family and friends and could not have been happier with the experience. During the booking process Andrea was brilliant in making invaluable suggestions to make our weekend even better. We went with massages, a cruise up the Mitchell River and the private chef.It could not have run smoother thanks to David and Andrea. Thank you so much it was brilliant.

It's superb!!!! Andrea is the most beautiful host, very friendly, helpful and welcoming! The place was immaculate!!! Very clean, a friendly touch with welcome chococlates, bread, fruit bread and very nice butter! Flowers from the garden throughout the house! Beds and linen luxurious! We had the best sleeps! The kitchen was more than well equipped! Wish I had a kitchen like Andrea's at home!I have never stayed in a more beautiful and luxurious place! I hope, I will be able to return one day, it's just a shame it's such a long way from Sydney. I can only recommend staying there!

The most enjoyable weekend staying at the fabulous Homestead. La Riva is so much more than a fabulous property and infinity pool! After such a challenging year, this was our chance to escape the hustle and bustle of Melbourne and reunite with our family and friends. I’m not sure where to even start as we couldn’t get past the stunning entrance, gardens and house, it’s huge! From the moment we contacted owners Andrea and David they went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The tailored experiences are just fabulous and they both took our stay from amazing to something purely magical. The house itself is nestled on a perfectly manicured landscape with view of the Mitchell River that’s unforgettable! The infinity pool was very clean, warm and welcoming. All our guests had their own space with multiple dining rooms, seating areas and bedrooms set up to our required sleeping arrangements. The library is a winner baby… it has two comfortable sofa beds and an adjoining ensuite, if you are wondering if the sofa beds are appropriate or comfortable, they absolutely are! In fact, I will be asking Andrea where she got them from as my father in law is 73 with a bad hip and he was so comfortable. Finally a regional stay with the right Technology! We had reception, fast WIFI and sexy Bose speakers and smart TV’s throughout. Don’t bring anything! That was our big mistake… They seriously have everything you need… just bring food and drinks as everything is fitted out perfectly, we had a fabulous roast dinner one night and realised we forgot flour for the gravy, after a few wines we weren’t able to get to the shops and cheeky us messaged Andrea - without hesitation Andrea dropped some around for us. I could go on for hours but all you need to know is it’s time for you to stop reading, bite the bullet and book! If we all have learnt anything in the last two years it’s that life is too short to procrastinate so when Andrea suggests booking the private dinner and helicopter ride (their other business) don’t hesitate, you won’t regret it as both are unforgettable and worth every cent and more! Superb views across the heated, infinity pool to the surrounding landscape. I had the pleasure of spending the weekend at this fine establishment, drenched in sumptuous luxury from the entrance. A winding drive through beautifully manicured gardens with objet d'art carefully placed throughout to stimulate a curiosity of what might be around the next corner. Charming! The same eye for detail awaits in every facet of this exquisite property. Large rooms filled with big, comfortable beds, luxurious pillows, crisp sheets and multiple living spaces with similarly comfortable and stylish sofas, a kitchen with everything...even a chef as the occasion warrants. Helicopter flights, boat cruises and a sound knowledge of where to go in the area are all possible options when staying at La Riva with these exceptional hosts.

Where do I start! We had the most wonderful 10 days staying at La Riva to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday with the whole family. The house is stunning with lots of room for everybody to have their own space. The beds and even the pull out couches are so comfortable. The kitchen has every appliance you can think of. The gardens and the setting with the beautiful views are magnificent and we did a lot of wandering around exploring without even leaving the grounds! The back of the property has a great walk along the river. The pool is to die for and even on cooler days, the water temp was great. Really close to Paynesville, Bairnsdale and Lake Entrance but you feel you are worlds away from civilisation. Last but not least, Andrea was the most incredible host and could not do enough for us. Nothing was too much to ask and she went above and beyond to make us feel so comfortable and meet our every need. Her husband even took us on an amazing helicopter ride (their other business). This property is perfect for a special family holiday/celebration, corporate getaway or retreat or just getting a large group of friends together. Definately would return for another special occasion!

La Riva is even more breathtaking than the photos. The place is clean and well decorated with a cosy feel. Andrea was very helpful with the bed arrangement and ensure we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay. Thanks Andrea!

WOW! When you come to the house, it surrounded by beautiful specimen trees. Then when you arrive in the house ‘WOW’. It so beautiful, clean, spacious. All the bedrooms have super comfy beds and are beautifully decorated. Massive bathrooms. A huge kitchen and dinning area. Comfy lounge. And then going outside to an affinity pool with a breathtaking view of the lakes.

Home away from plus luxury. Love going back to our home away from home and then some! Beautiful gardens, spacious and clean rooms, pivate pool ,gorgeous views....... Planning our next holiday already

Absolute perfection. I've just returned from 3 amazing days at La Riva on a business retreat. This home and the gardens and the pool and everything is so beautifully set out but actually it's the little things that I found the most special. Andrea has thought of everything and from the minute you arrive, you feel so welcome. I found Andrea to be the most warm and friendly host and we were fortunate that she could spend time with our group. I felt like a welcome guest in her home and I could not recommend this property highly enough. Thank you Andrea, our stay was perfect.
